Soft Autumn is the softest, most toned-down of the Autumn palettes. Like a warm mist over autumn fields, it creates a soft, embracing feel. The colors are muted like Soft Summer’s but keep a warm undertone — think hazelnut brown, sage, soft brown, and warm, dusty pink. Overly strong or clear colors look hard against Soft Autumn’s naturally soft harmony; Florence Pugh is a frequently used example. It is easily confused with Soft Summer, which shares the mutedness but leans gray instead of gold.
