The four seasons
In color analysis, there are four main seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Each season has its unique color palettes that complement different skin tones, hair colors, and eye colors.
The twelve sub-seasons
Within each season, there are three sub-seasons. For example, within Summer there is True Summer (the original), Soft Summer which leans toward autumn, and Light Summer which leans toward spring.

Start thinking about color
The first step is to become aware of color. You can start by considering your skin tone, hair color, and eye color, as well as which colors make you look fresh and vibrant.
Self-analysis
Take an online self-test. There are many available if you search. Below we have linked our own, which often gives a good first indication.
Professional analysis
The most reliable way to determine your season is through a professional color analysis. You can do this either online (e.g., with us) or in a studio.

Using color analysis in daily life
Gradual change
Introduce new seasonal colors gradually as you shop and experiment with accessories in your new colors to complement existing garments.
Realistic timeline
Remember that this is a lifelong journey. A realistic timeline for updating your wardrobe might be one or a few years, rather than just a few months.
Shopping tips
Keep your color palette on your phone for direct comparison when shopping. With practice, it becomes easier to identify the right shades.

Flexibility in color choices
While colors from your season are generally the most flattering for you, it doesn’t mean you’re limited to only these!
Experiment
You can experiment with colors outside your palette, especially in accessories or in smaller amounts away from the face.
Start with sister palettes
If you have a good grasp of your own palette and feel ready to experiment, start with the seasons closest to your own (see link below).

Adapted foundation
Color analysis helps you find the right foundation that matches your skin tone and undertones, for a natural base.
Lipstick that lifts
The right shade of lipstick can elevate your entire look. “Winters” can wear clearer red tones, while “Summers” often look best in softer pinks.
The importance of blush
Color analysis helps you choose blush that gives a natural glow. “Springs” can look radiant in peach tones, while “Autumns” often wear terracotta well.

In-person analysis
A personal analysis takes place face-to-face and provides, with a skilled consultant, an accurate assessment of your colors.
Digital analysis
Online analysis is based on photos and questionnaires. A skilled analyst can do just as good a job as in a personal meeting.
Accuracy
Both methods are effective. An in-person analysis can be an exciting and fun experience. A digital analysis is often more affordable, and you also get a report.
