Soft Summer is the most muted of the Summer palettes. Like mist over a lake on an early summer morning, the season’s colors give a soft, peaceful impression. The colors are hazy and cool — think misty blue-gray, cool sage green, and powdery pink with a touch of gray. Overly warm or clear colors feel hard against Soft Summer’s harmony; the season glows in softened, cool tones. It is easily confused with Soft Autumn, which shares the softness but leans gold instead of gray.
