I’m having trouble finding the right shades in bright lilac, bright green, and orange. Does cobalt blue work for me? And what do I do with beige and white?

As a Bright Spring, you want to wear colors that are clear and somewhat warm. Below you’ll find guidelines for the shades you’re wondering about and how they can be adapted to your personal color palette.

Bright lilac, bright green, and orange

  • Bright lilac – Look for a purple that leans toward fuchsia or magenta rather than cool lavender. A too-cool shade risks clashing with the skin tone.
  • Bright green – Go for a clear, warm spring green instead of mint or muted tones. The color should feel lively and sunny, not grayish.
  • Orange – Choose a golden, clear orange like apricot or tangerine. Avoid burnt terracotta tones that become too dark and heavy.

Cobalt blue and other blue shades

Cobalt blue is usually a bit cooler and lies closer to Bright Winter. You can wear it reasonably well, but a better choice is a blue with a hint of yellow – think turquoise blue or a warm clear blue. These harmonize better with a warm undertone and give you more radiance.

Beige and white

  • Beige – Avoid dusty, gray-beige variants. Instead, look for golden or light caramel that gives warmth without looking dirty.
  • White – Stark white works, but cream white is usually more flattering. It softens the contrast while preserving the clarity in your palette.

By choosing these warmer and clearer shades, you get a color palette that showcases you in the best way. Feel free to use test fabrics or garments near your face to see how the colors affect your skin tone – a classic trick in color analysis. This way you build a wardrobe that feels both personal and stylish.
