I’m wondering about bronzer – should I go for warm or cool tone? Dark or light? One bronzer I tried turned yellow/orange on my skin.

As a Deep Autumn, you look best in bronzers that are neutral or warm-muted. If the color pulls too much toward yellow or orange – especially if it’s also too light – it easily clashes with your skin tone and the result is often a powdery, unnatural finish.

How to choose the right bronzer

  • Avoid shades that are too yellow or orange. Go for a more “brown” tone rather than yellow.
  • Choose a depth that’s a couple of shades darker than your skin tone. This gives a sculpting effect without looking garish.
  • Look for warm but toned-down undertones. Neutral to warm colors work best when they’re not too clear.
  • Test in real life. The shade can look different on skin than in the packaging, so try it before deciding.

One example is Caia’s Matte Bronzer in the shade Medium Light with a neutral tone. Many find it harmonizes nicely with Deep Autumn’s warm undertone without turning yellow or orange.

By sticking to bronzers that are somewhat darker and more muted, you’ll enhance your face’s natural contours in a flattering way – without losing warmth or radiance.
